Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These are the terms for taking part in Sambhaal Canada's programs, workshops, and the Sambhaal circle. We've kept them in plain language. By participating, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, message us and we'll explain.
1. What Sambhaal Canada is
Sambhaal Canada delivers group wellness programming for adults 50 and over — the Sambhaal Strong strength-and-balance program and short workshops (such as scam-safety, digital basics, and falls-prevention talks) — usually hosted with community organizations, seniors' centres, gurdwaras, and similar partners at their venues. We also run the Sambhaal circle: a free WhatsApp community with local updates for 50+, class reminders, health tips, and scam alerts.
2. What Sambhaal Canada is not
- We are not a doctor, physiotherapy clinic, or healthcare provider, and we do not give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our program is fitness and wellness programming, designed with physiotherapist input and delivered by certified coaches. Fitness measures we record (like grip strength or balance) are for tracking, not medical screening — discuss health concerns with your doctor.
- We are not affiliated with the Government of Canada or any government body, even where our programs are hosted by organizations that receive public funding.
- Workshop content (for example on scams or using a phone) is general information. We cannot promise every scam will be spotted or stopped, and we are not responsible for losses if someone is tricked. Never share OTPs, banking passwords, or card PINs with anyone — including us.
- We are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
3. Taking part in classes and workshops
Exercise carries inherent risk. Before joining physical sessions you'll complete a short health questionnaire, and we may ask for your doctor's go-ahead for certain conditions. Please answer honestly, follow your coach's instructions, work at your own pace, and stop and tell the coach if you feel unwell — our rule is "never no-pain-no-gain." For programs hosted by a partner organization, their venue rules and any registration or waiver forms they use apply alongside these terms. Attendance is always your choice.
4. The Sambhaal circle (WhatsApp)
The circle is free, and joining is your individual choice — you can leave anytime by exiting the group or telling us. To keep it warm and safe: kind words only; no politics or divisive content; no unchecked forwards; no selling or promotion by members; and respect others' privacy — don't share members' numbers, photos, or messages outside the group. Your name and phone number are visible to other members in WhatsApp groups. We may remove content or members that put the circle at risk. We only send you information about Sambhaal's own paid programs if you've expressly consented to that (see our Privacy Policy), and you can withdraw that consent anytime.
5. Partner organizations
Where a community organization hosts our programming, that organization is responsible for its venue, its registration process, and its own services. Our facilitation for partners is governed by separate written agreements with them. We are not responsible for a partner's acts or omissions, and they are not responsible for ours.
6. Photos, videos and stories
We only photograph or film participants who have given consent, and you can opt out or withdraw anytime — it never affects your participation. Aggregate program results (never your individual data) may be shared with host organizations and funders.
7. What you pay
Programs delivered through partner organizations are typically free for participants (funded by the host or their grants), and the Sambhaal circle is free, always. If Sambhaal ever offers its own paid memberships or classes in Canada, they'll have clear pricing and their own sign-up — being a participant or circle member never turns into a charge automatically.
8. Your responsibilities
- Answer the health questionnaire honestly and keep us updated on changes.
- Follow coach instructions and the circle guidelines in section 4.
- Make your own decisions about health, money, and family matters — we provide programming and information, not the final decision.
9. Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Limits on our responsibility
We run our programs honestly and with care — screening, certified coaches, and safety-first programming. But to the extent the law allows, Sambhaal is not responsible for indirect losses; for injuries arising from not following coach instructions or from undisclosed health conditions; or for losses caused by third parties, partner organizations' venues, scams, other members, or events outside our reasonable control. Where we are found responsible for something, our total responsibility is limited to the fees (if any) you paid us in the three months before the issue arose. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes and ending
We may update these terms or our programs as they grow. When we make important changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know on WhatsApp. You can stop participating at any time. We may remove a participant or circle member who misuses the community.
12. Who you're agreeing with, and which laws apply
These terms are an agreement between you and PRAJ EServices Inc. (operating as Sambhaal Canada). They are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If there is a dispute, we'll always try to sort it out with you directly first.
